In short

Asok is Bangkok's great crossroads: it is where the BTS Sukhumvit line meets the MRT Blue Line. Offices, malls and high-rise condos make it ideal for people who travel around the city a lot. Our catalogue here mostly features recent, well-equipped one-bedroom units very close to the stations.

1.Atmosphere: Sukhumvit's centre of gravity

Asok (often spelled Asoke) refers to the junction of Sukhumvit Road and Asok Montri Road, around Soi 19 to 23. It is a business district as much as a residential one: office towers, hotels, the Terminal 21 mall directly connected to the stations, and a high density of high-rise condos.

The atmosphere is very urban and busy at all hours. Some nearby streets are known for their nightlife: the choice of building and which way it faces matter a lot if you value quiet.

Who is it for?

  • professionals working in Asok, Sathorn, Silom or along the Sukhumvit line;
  • people who move around the city a lot and want two metro lines at their door;
  • singles and couples who prefer a modern, compact and central home.

2.Getting around

This is the area's main strength:

  • BTS Asok (Sukhumvit line) and MRT Sukhumvit (Blue Line) are linked by a walkway;
  • the Blue Line runs towards Silom (Si Lom station), Bang Sue station and the Ratchada area, among others;
  • two MRT stops away, Phetchaburi connects to the Airport Rail Link at Makkasan, for Suvarnabhumi airport;
  • allow about 10 to 15 minutes by BTS to Siam.

3.Daily life

  • Terminal 21, with a supermarket, food court and cinema, right at the stations;
  • many restaurants, cafés and supermarkets on Soi 19 to 23;
  • the large Benchakitti Park, within walking distance from the lower end of Ratchadaphisek Road, for running or strolling by the lake;
  • Srinakharinwirot University (Soi 23) and many language schools;
  • Sukhumvit's private hospitals, a few stations away.

4.Where to look in the area

  • Soi 19 to 23, north side of Sukhumvit: closest to both stations and Terminal 21, with recent and compact condos.
  • Asok Montri Road (Soi 21) heading north: offices, condos and access towards Phetchaburi, convenient for the Airport Rail Link.
  • South side, towards Ratchadaphisek Road and Benchakitti Park: a little more open, with the park within walking distance.
  • Soi 12 to 16, across the main road: several older, often more affordable buildings, a few minutes' walk from the BTS.

5.Strengths and things to watch

Strengths

  • Bangkok's best connections: two lines, and the airport within easy reach;
  • everything you need right at the stations;
  • a wide choice of recent, well-equipped condos.

Things to watch

  • a dense and noisy environment in places;
  • few large family layouts in new buildings;
  • high rents in the buildings closest to the stations.

6.Budget: what our catalogue shows

As of 10 October 2026, our catalogue lists 5 properties in Asok:

  • rent: 44,000 to 45,000 THB a month for one-bedroom units of about 43 to 47 m², and 70,000 THB a month for a 75 m² two-bedroom;
  • sale: a 46 m² one-bedroom at 12 million THB.

These are recent, high-end buildings very close to the stations. Asok also has older, more affordable buildings: tell us your budget and we will search beyond our current catalogue.

7.Before a viewing: the questions to ask

In Asok, a few simple checks make all the difference:

  • Which way do the bedrooms face? Main road or side street: not the same experience.
  • Which floor? Higher floors are often quieter and brighter.
  • Is the route to the station covered? In the rainy season, it matters.
  • What is the building's policy on visitors and deliveries?

8.Our listings in the area

We offer properties at Muniq Sukhumvit 23, 150 m from MRT Sukhumvit, and several units at The Esse Asoke, for rent and for sale.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose Asok?

For transport: the BTS and MRT meet here, so you can quickly reach most business districts and the Airport Rail Link.

Is Asok quiet?

It is a busy area. Quiet depends mainly on the building, floor and orientation; higher floors facing side streets are usually calmer.

What budget for a one-bedroom in Asok?

In our catalogue as of 10 October 2026, recent one-bedroom units near the stations rent for around 44,000 to 45,000 THB a month. Older buildings allow a lower budget.
